Memorial Day Weekend Memories: Greetings from Key Largo! A big shout goes out to my good friends at Oceanblue Divers, the coolest dive club from New York City and from the diehard dives at Indian Valley SCUBA from Hawleysville, PA.  Both groups toughed it out it during an extremely windy Memorial Day dive weekend in the Keys. I thank all the divers from coming down to Key Largo for the weekend and I promise calmer seas on their next trip.  In this month's newsletter, our Grenada trip has been reduced to fill some final spots and your can read about how our group is going to dive the largest shipwreck in the Caribbean during our trip to Grenada and the Grenadines.  Also, for all you divers local to the New York City area, be sure to RSVP for Oceanblue Divers Happy Hour tonight. Ironically, tonight's speaker at the Oceanblue Divers Happy Hour will be discussing the history of the Bianca C.  Upcoming events in Key Largo to read about are Island Sun Splash in June and Lobster mini-season in July. Mmmmm.....Lobster!!!

Dive the Largest Shipwreck in the Caribbean: The Bianca C in Grenada September 1-8, 2007

The 660 foot Italian luxury liner Bianca C caught fire and sank in 1961 just off the coast of Grenada and within recreational diving depths.  Diving the Bianca C is one of the most unforgettable experiences and a must stop while diving around Grenada.  Join the Miami Ski Club for a late summer exotic dive trip to the Eastern Caribbean.  Grenada and The Grenadines are in the Windward Islands chain that are most famous for attracting sailboats from around the world.  There are only a handful of local island operators who dive the Grenadines so most dive sites are near uncharted territory with pristine coral and abundant aquatic life. The Wind Dancer is a 128 foot luxury yacht designed solely for dive charters.  You eat, sleep and dive right from the boat.  Every night the Wind Dancer anchors in a safe harbor tucked in a behind a different uninhabited or lightly inhabited island.  We will visit exotic islands of the Grenadines from St. Vincent to Grenada including Bequia, Mustique, Canauon, Tobago Cays, Isle de Rhonde and Carricou.  On our dives you will see pristine colorful coral reefs with 80-100 feet of visibility.  The aquatic life in the Grenadines includes Nurse Sharks, Spotted Moray Eels, Turtles, Puffer Fish, Lobster, Spotted Drums and more. Our group will get in plenty of dives during this trip and after every dive on the Wind Dancer, each diver is greeted with a hot snack, warm showers and hot towels to enjoy the surface interval while the crew fills the dive tanks.  Liveaboard diving is the ulimate in dive experience.
