Fantastic Endeavors Adventure Newsletter August 2007

Greetings from Key Largo!  It's been a busy summer here in the Keys and I am now preparing for a month of international travel.  First I head to Grenada and the Grenadines for an exotic Eastern Caribbean dive trip on the Wind Dancer live aboard dive boat.  Then I head to Egypt to tour with clients around an ancient land and dive the breathtaking Red Sea. I plan to stop in Alexandria during my travels in Egypt to tour the ancient city for my first time and to dive the underwater palace of Cleopatra.  Be on the look out for pictures in my October newsletter.  I finally had time to update the group travel program schedule that is posted on my web site. I expanded my travel business the past few months and I now specialize in African Safaris and Cruise Travel as well as planning future adventure trips to Egypt, Morocco, Madagascar, Greece, Turkey, Italy and South America.  I am very eager to offer Cruise Travel because cruise lines provide affordable, convenient packages to such amazing destinations as Alaska, Hawaii, Caribbean, Europe and Antarctica.  It is an exciting time to be in travel and I grateful to have partnered with some prestigious companies to expand my offering of travel programs.  I featured a couple of trips below but check out my updated home page for full listing of our upcoming group travel programs for 2007-2008.   www.fantasticendeavors.com

Tour Africa on the Ultimate Walking Safari

Zambia Africa: September 11-October 1, 2008

Zambia is the best kept secret in African Safaris. The traditional Safaris of East Africa are now extremely commercialized which takes away from the game viewing experience.  I toured Zambia in November and was impressed by the concept of Walking Safaris: small group bush camps for 8-14 people that maximize the personal experience with the local animals.  I designed the ultimate walking Safari for our return trip to Zambia in September 2008. Two full weeks in the Bush: 1 week each at the two top national parks in Zambia; three nights in Livingstone to tour Victoria Falls and private charters to take us around Zambia. Our group will fly directly to the Bush camps right in the heart of Zambia and avoid lengthy ground transfers.  Our walking safari of Zambia is a premium tour during high season and only open to a small number travelers. See the links below for more information on the Safari and for pictures of my trip to Zambia last year.

Navigator of the Seas is one of the latest Mega-ships launched by the cruise industry in the last 5 years.  I cruised on the Liberty of the Seas in May which has a similar layout and just a bit bigger in size than the Navigator of the Seas.  The Mega-ships provide more comfort and an impressive array of amenities compared to traditional cruise ships.  The most impressive aspect of Royal Caribbean's new line of Mega-ships is the Royal Promenade: a 4 story mall right in the middle of the ship that includes unique bars, shops and restaurant.  There are even rooms that overlook the Royal Promenade: the newest and coolest rooms in cruising.  There are still cabins available in all categories: balconies, ocean view, interior and the Royal Promenade rooms on our late November cruise aboard the Navigator of the Seas.  Mega-ships traditionally only offer 7+ night itineraries that may be out of reach of the budget and time constraints of the everyday traveler.  The 4 night itinerary of the Navigator of the Seas provides a unique opportunity to cruise on a Mega-ship on an affordable long weekend trip.  Check out the links below for more information on our cruise.
